In brief; Am trying to source (& consequently download) an old version of VDJ. But the website asks which build number I want. Does the build number equate to the particular version? If so, how do I find out which build number I want? Next problem is, I'm not sure which version I want! (please don't laugh). I did install a version in December 2009 (27mb), then again in 2014 (53mb). Whichever one I have is on an old laptop which is currently dying, therefore am unable to simply transfer onto my working laptop. T.I.A.

OK so what exactly is your working laptop? Is it an Apple Mac or a Windows PC? What OS is it running?
FYI it's always advisable to run the latest version rather than an old outdated version.

Fujitsu laptop. Maybe 18 months old. Windows 11 (I think). I just find the latest versions too complicated for my simple needs. I particularly miss the simplicity of recording 12 of my own samples. Something I've tried on newer versions but have never even got close to finding out where to start. Is that actually available on the latest version? If so, perhaps I just need to play around with it for a bit longer? I take your advise about running the latest version, something I may end up doing eventually......begrudgingly! Thank you for your swift response.

I don't think it changed much since the original VDJ 8.
There's actually even a new pad page that makes recording samples even easier than before.
