When I try to use prepared stems I get a pop up window asking if I want to prepare them or use the fast version but I already have them prepared?
I currently have all my music on an external hardrive that I'm connecting to my Mac, I prepare stems on another computer because it has better processing speeds but I make sure to transfer over the songs and stem files.

Hi, are you preparing the stems in 2.0 version, or the fast version ?
If you are using a P.C that is capable of processing the new stems 2.0, this will superceed the old fast version you probably have on your hard drive, and VDJ will know this, thus asking you to upgrade.
Just a point of interest, you will not be able to run the full lyrics editor on 'fast' stems, requiring stems 2.0 to do this.

I believe all prepared stems are the 2.0 version. It use to work fine before the VDJ 2026 update and even after reverting back to a 2025 build Iām having the same problem
