Topic: Auto Gain not work in Xdj-Az
In Xdj-Az last verision in controller 1.22v and last verision in software on the computer MacbookPro M1 16 2021,
The software shows that everything is fine and auto gain on 'auto', but when I load songs, the gain does not sync and remains at a constant volume. Who is know about this problem?

If you are using a controller, VDJ can't change the position of the hardware knobs, so you have to move the gain back to the center position yourself in order to use autogain.

I didn't quite understand your answer, the auto gain doesn't work, the knob is in the center and still doesn't change, I tested it, if I lower the volume in the software with the computer mouse, the sound doesn't change through the controller, that means the computer doesn't control the controller, is there some setting that I can set so that the computer will control the controller and then everything will work for me?including the auto gain...

The software skin mixer controls cannot control the controller in this case and this is by design (and that's how it works with all DJ software) - the mixing is being done by the hardware. You may see movement on the skin but that's only to reflect the mixer control positions.

Autogain (at least when set on auto) doesn't show the boost/reduction on the skin, it shows at twelve o'clock for all songs (i.e. looking at the skin display value tells you nothing about autogain and whether or not it's working). What matters the autogain setting in the settings, and what songs sound like relative to each othwr when you are mixing then in. If you have it enabled and the sound levels don't sound similar when mixing 2 songs, then adjust the gain on the controller for one or both of them.

As other said..
XDJ-AZ has a hardware mixer.
This means that it's the hardware (XDJ-AZ firmware) and not the software that does all the mixing, eq-ing and gain staging.
When VirtualDJ is used with a controller that has a hardware mixer, all of the above functions become "fake". In other words, you see them move in the software, but they are not actually controlling anything.
Same rule applies with gain. GAIN adjustments done via the mouse on GUI are not taken into account / do not modify the sound.
AutoGain though, does still apply.

Finally: With the default VirtualDJ settings, the correct position for gain knobs is at center (12 o' clock) and the gain will "reset" to that position every time you load a new track.
In your case (hardware mixer) this is only a visual thing. Your controller still keeps adjusting the gain of the track, even if the controller position doesn't match with the software position.
If you find that the gain at "center" is too hot for your liking, then you can lower the zerodb setting.
Also if you still don't like the "center" position, you can change the "resetGainOnLoad" setting to "No"
