Topic: XDJ-AZ "stutter-play"
The manual (https://virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/alphatheta/xdjaz/layout/decks.html) says:

"PLAY/PAUSE. Plays / Pauses the track.
Press and hold SHIFT and then press this button to "stutter-play" the track from the last set Cue Point."

but holding "SHIFT" and hitting PLAY doesn't trigger any stutter effect like it would in CDJ mode.
Taking "JOG MODE" out of "Vinyl" did not help.

Anyone has any insight?s

It depends on what you mean by "stutter effect like CDJ mode" and you're looking after.

If you want a stutter sound effect, then that's not it.
VirtualDJ does not support "frame cue-ing" It never did.*

Stutter play on the above sentence means that the track will jump back to the last cue-point used and keep playing from there, as opposed to normal play that will start playback from current position regardless of the position of the last used cue-point

*PS: Frame cue-ing is the function where in order to cue the song, the device plays a small loop of a few frames for you to hear the sound and preview your position in the song.
The other way is vinyl cue-ing where the deck becomes audible at the current position only when you move the jog, similar to how a turntable behaves.
VirtualDJ only supports vinyl cue-ing on both "VINYL" and "CDJ" modes
