Hey guys! Serato transplant here. Finally decided to make the move as I always knew VDJ was superior in terms of performance and programming, but I was being cheap and didn't want to spend the $ since I already owned a Serato license. Anyway, now I'm a VDJ user! :-D
On my FLX10, when I hit the PADFX1 Pad Mode, it goes to "PADSFX". Say I go to edit, change it to "FX Fade" instead, if I then switch to a different Pad Mode Hot Cue or Sampler, etc... when I come back to PADFX1, it reverts to "PADSFX" and not the "FX Fade" I had it set to last.
I reached out to support and they don't seem to understand what I'm trying to accomplish. I hope one of you expert users here will be able to help me with this. So basically, I want the PADFX1 mode to remember my last selection (FX Fade, FX Manager, Stems FX, etc...), even after I've navigated to a different Pad Mode i.e. Sampler, Beat Jump, etc...
Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome to VirtualDJ Vlad 🍻
So for all the controllers you get/plan to get, a good place to get an idea of what is supported natively as well as what is required to use the controller/how the experience is expected to be is the VirtualDJ Hardware Manuals Page - the Atomix team take the time to write them for all supported hardware and it's normally really informative and thorough.
In particular, you want to look at the DDJ-FLX10 page.
Taking a look at the Pads section of that page, you'll see that there is a special note for the PADS FX page (it comes up on connection of that device), so either that page is a page that is implemented in the firmware of the device, or there is some other special reason that the page is defaulted to that (Atomix Devs would have more info on that). It most likely is the former.
You're best bet is to use another pad page button (Shift + PADS FX might be free for modification actually), and/or wait for the devs to answer about it here, in terms of expectations.

Actually you just need to "assign" your renamed pad page to the pad page button.
Here's how to do it:
