Topic: Broadcasting Live
Hi there

I have a question realting to how to broadcast Virtual DJ live.

I have followed the recommended process and have all the required ports open to allow me to livestream from Vitual DJ but so far have been unable to do this.
Any advice or help on this would be much apprecaited.

Thanks in advance

Iain

Are you trying to listen to your broadcast on the same computer that you're broadcasting from?

Also you may need to configure your ROUTER besides your computer.

PS: Generally speaking (with very few exceptions) it's not possible to listen to your own broadcast from within the same network.
This is a limitation on most consumer grade routers. They cannot route as outbound and then as inbound the same connection. So, when you try to connect "to yourself" (to your own network via it's public IP) from an IP that's already inside your private network, the connection will fail.
Therefore the best way to test if your broadcast is working, is to try to listen to your stream via your mobile phone while on a data plan (not connected to the same wi-fi as the computer)
This generates a "pure" inbound connection from a foreign network that your router is more than happy to deal with accordingly.
