Hello ...
1) How to use VDJ with my Kontrol X1 ??
2) Any drivers to be downloaded?
3) Any mappings or anything else to be done?
4) What about a Traktor Skin? (so VDJ looks and feels like Traktor)

If you are using Mk2:
https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/ni/x1mkii.html
If you are using Mk3:

It doesn't seem like there is an MK1 mapping - there must be a technical reason for this (devs would know more).
If you just need basic buttons mapped, then you can use the Mapping editor to do it:
https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/virtualdj/settings/controllers.html
Anything more intricate would probably need a full definition file (description of the controls and what they respond to by protocol) + mapping file (vdjscript (actions) that gets triggered for controls). Info for that is here:

You can look for skins within the Extensions tab of the software. There are other sources of skins that most likely won't be listed there (especially software impersonation skins), which won't be mentioned here.
However if you are looking to make VirtualDJ = Traktor, I (personally) think that is the wrong way of approaching the software because you'll most likely be using the software inefficiently. Identify the features you liked from Traktor, check the VirtualDJ User Manual to see if the feature is offered and how to use it (the tutorials tab also hosts short videos and is a quick and easy way on how to get up to speed as well) and then understand how to do it in VirtualDJ. You can make feature suggestions/ask questions in the forums too, but try to at least check if the question was already asked and what the answer was (a fair bit of questions that come in are already addressed).

Kontrol X1 is natively supported.
However, you ABSOLUTELY MUST load the default MIDI Template on the Native Instrument's "Device Editor" software so that VirtualDJ responds to the correct keys.

Skins that mimick or even worse copy the graphics of other software are simply, STRICTLY prohibited.
Any such skin you may find on another location (not on this site) has not been officially tested and therefore VirtualDJ cannot guarantee troublefree operation of the software.
As DJ VinylTouch said, your approach on this matter is simply wrong. Part of learning a new piece of software is learning it's GUI and therefore it's functions through the GUI.
As an example, most likely you would never be able to see and understand the advantages of having the waveforms one on top of the other if you were to use a "Traktor alike skin" (Traktor just recently got this feature, so most likely any illegal skin you may find would only had "dual" waveforms)
PS: There are skins that are NOT Traktor alike, that offer "dual" waveforms if for example that's what you need and find hard to get away from Traktor's way.. ;)

Thank you friends for your replies and suggestions.
I'm using Kontrol X1 (mk1) as mentioned in my "subject"
I'm totally new to VDJ ... Your advice & pointers are much appreciated.
@PhantomDeejay: You had posted a response on 23rd July 2023 mentioning:
x1 MK1 requires that you use the factory default MIDI messages (MIDI template) and that you don't have done any changes through Device Editor.
This is what prompted me to check back the exact requirements in the forum before plugging in my controller.
Kindly check the image link below ... Is this the right file to download & install? After installing, any setting to be made/changed in VDJ?

Thank you for pointing out that 3rd party impersonation skins are Strictly Prohibited. I wasn't aware. I was simply hoping my eyes would be more comfortable with the Traktor Layout and hence explored that route. I totally agree even if I did go down that alley, I'd be missing out on the VDJ experience. I'll stick to the default skin & layout for now.

I'm not sure that drivers are even required, but yes, that's what you need.
Also, if you never used "Controller Editor" (a program made by Native Instruments) to modify how your X1 works, then you are good to go.
