Topic: Glitch with soft-takeover of hardware controls
I’ve just got a Reloop Mixtour Pro, which is great so far, and I’m just trying to get it set up to my preferences and have found an issue, but I think this issue is not specific to this controller as far as I can tell.

Link to video: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ne6pogss9gc6xb6n0ckqi/IMG_9653.MOV?rlkey=6n8x11s6tp2fjf2o7ummoks0a&st=vzg5l9oo&dl=0

But to summarise, I’m mapping the filter knob to control pitch when shift is held down. Soft takeover works perfectly for pitch, but not at all when going back to control the filter.

Extra detail not in the video: if you switch from deck 1 to deck 3 control on the controller, you can alter the filter on deck 3, switch back to deck 1, and there is soft takeover on the filter knob.

Any suggestions on if this is something that’s solvable in some sort of vdj script, or would require vdj devs to fix in the main program would be really appreciated.

Many thanks for your help.

what if the action is just filter and not filter 'dual' ?

filter 'dual' is having its own ghost fader Decks 1 and 3 Filter knobs to avoid jumps when you swap between the 2 Decks.
If you dont use 4 Decks much, then you can safely remove the 'dual' parameter.

Thanks for the super quick reply, I’ll try that tonight

Many thanks, that did the trick! I will tell anyone that listens that Virtual DJ is the best because of support like this.

As you mentioned, I now lose the soft-takever when switching between decks 1 and 3, it would be nice if it was possible to have soft takever work in both cases, but this will be more than enough for now, really appreciate your help.
