When I switch to software effects and use the paddle to activate, it mutes the audio. does this on all 4 decks. The meter still shows on the channel but no audio. If I activate the same effect on the screen in vdj by clicking on it, the audio works. The hardware effects work fine. Any thoughts?

The paddle is applying the effect, it is just muting the audio too. This was working before and I cant recall changing anything

Reset all options and it started working but it reset EVERYTHING. progress :)

Most likely the audio setup was incorrect.
In the future, if you have an issue with a controller, it is good to check the manual and compare with your own install :)

Yea after reset I noticed it added to more entries in the AUDIO section for "fxreturn"...not sure how I changed that to beging with but got it rockin again
