I was online.

Looks related to the cover display on your controller. Not sure if you remember which song you were loading and if it happens again with the same song?

Hi Adion thanks for your advice
Does this mean it was the RX3 driver itself which caused the crash?
I will try to repeat it but I am quite sure I already have loaded the same song since those are all contained in the playlist I repeat almost every day in these prom times.

Bump! Any dev, is there anything else the crashlog can tell?

I don't think it would be the controller driver in this case.
It does look like the skin was reloading at the same time. This is also not something that normally happens, could be the video drivers or in case an external display is connected perhaps a bad connection.

I have an ASUS Zenscreen MB166 connected through USB-C
If I disconnect the screen when VDJ is running, VDJ will crash.
I tested a few times and probably you have some crashlogs from my experiments.
Is there a way to make VDJ not crash if the screen is accidently disconnected?

In the vdj option, what do you have for videoForceFullscreen?

I had setting zero, also tried -1, VDJ crash with both settings
Does not matter if I use a screen on USB-C or through HDMI

I read in the releasenotes for early access:
BUILD 8173 (2024-05-22)
-Fix crash when display disconnected while HID/MIDI is loading cover picture
Does this mean the issue I had should be solved now?
That's good.
Now I just need to prepare my nerves to update and need to learn the new playlist management....

There really isn't any new management needed apart from clicking the browser to create a new list instead of the old icons on the left hand side. You may also need to drag some stuff around the tree as there is a new naming convention.
Assuming you didn't use m3u for anything specific then literally nothing has changed.

Thanks Kradcliffe. I am too anxious when it comes to updating you know :)
And this time I even tried an early access build which is first time ever :))
The VDJ devs did a perfect job solving the issue which caused the crashes, works perfect now.
WIll wait for a standard release though before taking it out on a gig.
