Topic: DDJ 800 Key Sync not responding
So i recently got the ddj 800 and for some reason the key sync don't sync when i manually press the key sync button. It basically does nothing for the keys on the tracks in the way it is described in the manual for #50 http://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/pioneer/ddj800/layout/decks.html

Can someone look into the mapping and let me know what script i can apply to rectify this?

For the KEY of the track to sync, the keys must not have a distance greater than 1 semitone.
That's not specific to DDJ-800, but it's among the entire software.

I had the exact same problem, even if it was only 1 semi-tone out. The solution is to go to the controller for the DDJ-800, go to KEY_SYNC and change the code to:

key_match_button


This will toggle between on & off. You can delete the mapping for SHIFT_KEY_SYNC if you want, as it doesn't do anything.
