Prepared Stems files work absolutely fine between different platforms. They are not platform dependant.
In fact many users prepare Stems on one computer by storing them an external drive, and then use them on another computer.

If you're doing that you can create a partition accessible to both mac and windows for your music and stems and just work between both. Works perfectly fine.
