Are the Mini Macs, basic 8Gb Ram good enough to cope with stems and computing on the fly, i.e not precomputed? Never used Macs, but finally had enough of WindowZ

The one with M1 cpu will be fast enough yes

Denon don't support the M1 chip, that is really handy lol
 
Which Denon ? If it's about the screens some have (Prime, SC series ) then you can still run in Rosetta mode.
 
For older MC7000, wanted to try something other than WindowZ
