Topic: Which controller do you use with Virtual DJ 2021 and why? - Page: 1
Hi All, I have been researching some controllers to use with Virtual DJ 2021, but haven't found anything yet. I prefer something with screens, but I am not opposed to using one without screens. So far, I have looked at the Denon SC5000M and SC6000M and Pioneer DDJ-RZX. Anyone have any suggestions? And if so, how long have you had it? And have you ever had any problems with it? And why do you suggest it? I am a wedding DJ, so I am looking for something that is reliable, stable, and won't freeze up on me in the middle of a song. Thanks, Scott

Sorry I forgot to mention that I have also looked at the Denon Prime 4.

Can see some here:
https://www.virtualdj.com/products/hardware.html?feature=display
(with display monitors of all sorts, remove the filter on top if you want to see others also)

Tricky to recommend, some like Cola others Pepsi ;-)

But the Prime ones are popular, as well as DD-RX /RX2 etc
Some of the VirtualDJ teamers are using the RX as regular driver for gigs, and have had all good experiences with that for example..

But not heard anything bad about Prime, and the MCX8000 is quite popular for mobile DJs

MCX8000 all the way. Great sound and with the seamless switching to Engine for backup purposes it hits the spot 100%

Pioneer DDJ-RX as I came from Rekordbox.
If I would buy a controller now I would strugle between Pioneer DDJ-1000 and Denon Prime 4.
Both have there points....

Both are totally different tho, can’t really compare the 2.

But out of those 2 I’m definitely without a doubt going with the Denon because of its standalone capabilities. I mean you can even run your lights (SoundSwitch) in stand-alone mode with that thing!

I like my Prime 4 only downside is it's large and heavy, but it works really well with VDJ or in standalone mode

Another classic.

A set of Numark PT01’s with an AKAI AMX 😝

I use it because it’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time playin 🤣😂

The fluctuations in the pitch dial are enough to drive you crazy 😜 but damn I love playing on this setup. People just can’t believe it when they see it.

still rocking my hardware ddj-rz. Updated the skin, took it apart and cleaned it like new. Feels solid as a rock with virtualdj(hardware mode only)

DDJ-RZ here too, and I know Phantom (George) uses one as well.
