If I get the monthly subscription how long do you pay on it. Being the program is $299.

For as long as you want to subscribe... and you can cancel anytime you like

It's not instalments towards buying the software. It's just rental.

since when?
The point is very simple:
299/19 = after 16 month you waste money with the subscription.

For me the subscription is perfect for temp use or saisonal use...but if you like to have VDJ on the long run it makes no point at all.
Most guys are just tricked by the psychological point here...it seems cheaper than the expensive 299 option...but it is in fact after not even 1,5 years not.
 
I pay 19 a month but last month I had 4 charges of 19 … they charged me $80 so I canceled until resolved
