Topic: Skin resize problem

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi every one.
I crated a custom skin wich stretches over my 3 skins i aded a resize element in the xml file so i click on skin edge an resize it to go over my 3 screens.

The only problem now is everytime i close vdj and open agan the skin resized back onto one screen and i have click and resize it again over my 3 screens.

Is there a way or somthing i can adx to the xml script to keep it the size i streched it to so that i dont have to do it every time.

The best way would be to split the skin in 3 windows, instead of 1 big window.

The fact is VDJ main window automaticaly move to most used display (the one with the bigger part of the visible area of main window) at start
All windows move and resize if needed to fully fit in only one display (no way to save bigger size or position outside)

The main window is the only one window possibly fullscreen by script
Only the display with main VDJ window will open dialogs boxes
Extra windows are always on top of main window (even if some VDJ windows can be (and some open) under it
There is no way to force a window position or size (or reset it to default)
There is no (easy) way to top/bottom level an extra window

So that yes big skins have to split and manually adjust
(and pray Windows wont detect connected monitors in another order at next boot, otherwhise screens may swap and everything done again)

Fullscreen only apply to main VDJ window and a single monitor
this is "maximize" verb
the "minimize" verb in the contrary will apply to the whole set of windows

A single 3840x1024 skin will only work with a 4k display otherwhise it will shrink to fit
you'll need 3 1280x1024 windows (one per monitor)
maybe a minimal underlaying main window with some basic controls (maybe settings, show_windows, close..) and 3 extra windows to do the really the job
(At least this is what i personnaly prefer)
