When i run vdj with my hd2500 i get no sound on deck 2 asio channel 3-4. If I patch and add deck 2 to channel 1-2, it works.
It has worked without problems before. Tested with two different computers.

I had the same issue and it has to do with audio options. Find exclusive audio Access box should be checked yes

This controller is so old, you might be using windows own standard generic drivers (wasapi).
So to have 4 speakers, try set the HD2500 to surround sound in speaker settings for the soundcard in Windows sound settings
Might also have to change bitrate on sound card to allow that.
