Button editor act dangerously :
While editing a custom button, before the command line is fully written VDJ starts to execute the command
i.e.: new multibutton entry
type or paste : "effect_string 'Screen Grab' 1"
you will get the "Zone to copy to VirtualDJ video output" window open
By security command would better not interpret/execute at least until editor close the entry
