I've been using 6 decks for a long time and find it a great way to actually make a track. Saying that though 6 tracks is just not enough sometimes.
It would be great if there was an 8 deck option. Using a DAW is great but sometimes it's good to be doing a mix and then actually turn it into a track using the snippets and samples of the tracks that you're playing.
Just a thought :)

FYI VirtualDJ can use up to 99 decks, and there are skins that have more than 6 decks. Check out the skin downloads...
You can also use the sampler to play stuff (loops, whole tracks).

I've just downloaded the 8 deck skin which is great.
How do you use the sampler within this skin so I can manipulate a track and use it on a deck?

Once you've loaded tracks onto the decks, is there a way of saving the setup, so it will always open with those tracks?

you may try using the following verbs
save_deck_set
load_deck_set
i.e. in combination with ONINIT & ONEXIT
