How Virtual DJ will work with Prime 4's built-in 2.5” SATA drive bay? Same question with USB inputs and SD card slot?

It will still be a one or the other choice just like if you use Serato. You'll also still need to reboot to change from stand alone to software.
This is a Denon issue, not software
 
You can't use the Prime 4 storage with VDJ. It's separate for standalone only. Laptop still required for VDJ.
 
Yes, Ssd or usb stick ist all for standalone.
You Cann only use the mapping and the displays in the future..

Give it new news? Can you say that the update comes this week?

you can use internal ssd and even ub stick on the prime through vdj , i just tested it and you can see all the storage left under local music ; Hard disks
Here it works fine that way
 
Confirmed.
All Storage Media (USB sticks, SSD) are seen from Computer OS as Hard Drives , so VDJ can use too. But of course just the tracks, not any info stored in Engine DB
But once the devices are set to Engine/Standalone, computer has no access, actually even if connected to USB, the entire system is not present in Win/Mac, it's the same as if u disconnect from USB.

OK just to stop bumping this topic every few hours and help you get some sleep, do not expect any Prime device support before the end of this month. There are several things to be addressed by release from both sides.

Cant wait for version to be released. Thanks to all the team for getting this for us prime 4 users. Would never use any other software hence ive been using for 15 years

Something must have gone wrong for it to be the end of May?
Read that it was a month or so in the 3rd week of March.
