Hi, I have 2 x HYBRID PLB215 , 2 x WHARFEDALE Impact 18B bass bins, 1 x LANE 234XL crossover, 1 x WHARFEDALE CPD1600 amp and 1 x BEHRINGER KM1700 amp.
The 2 bass bins is on the Behringer amp and the 2 Hybrids on the Wharfedale amp. I have set my crossover to send low frequency to bass bins amp and high to 2 speakers amp.
I don't know if I did it correctly but it sounds good as soon as I play at a high volume the bass bins give a popping sound, why would that be? If I only put the amp of the bass bins directly on the mixer and only play it on low it does not make the popping sound.

Please assist

Thanks

You're probably overdriving the bass bins. The speakers will die if you carry on doing that.

The specs tell me that the Behringer amp puts out 800W at 4 ohms, and the bass bins are only 500W 4 ohms. If you're running at capacity then the bins are getting 300W too much.

Can't be sure but looks like either your crossover is clipping or make your amp clip

I can find no reference to a Lane crossover online. That model number is normally a DBX.
