hi I am using a soundcraft ui12 with powered speakers and vdj8 any help with audio setup would be grateful.many thanks.

Looking at the soundcraft ui12 it doesn't look like it has any built in soundcards
If that is the case, and you don't want to get a multi-output soundcard, you probably need to run in 2x mono external mixer mode to get the best result

That is the config that is described here at 8:50:


However you may want to watch the entire video to check out other audio config options

The spec on the website says it has 2 channel USB playback and recording i.e. just stereo in and out.

I think that's just the capabillity to play tracks of a USB stick, and USB-to-laptop for master recording
I have a Behringer mixer than can do the same

As always: I could certainly be wrong, and really need to have all the hardware known to the world, so I can try and test these kind of things! My wife disagrees on that, though...
