Topic: Play button/song slowly gets up to speed

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

When pressing the play button, the song takes around six seconds to get up to speed. How do I set it so there is no delay. This is very frustrating.

Check your settings.
Set rampStartTime, rampStopTime & rampScratchTime all to ZERO
 
Are you using a controller?

If so, check if you have a vinyl speed control on it. It may need turning back down to zero once again.

I get caught out with this sometimes on my Pioneer XDJ-RX when i use it for the stop brake function. Often forget to set it back to zero and i get the same effect as you are describing.
 
On XDJ-RX you can remap your knob to "brakespeed" if you wish..
This way it will control only the time it takes to stop the deck after pause, and not the time it takes to speed up after play... (which is startupspeed action)

I may just do this, never use it to adjust start up time. Thanks phantom
