For a given deck, if I click the AUTO LOOP button and Slip is enabled, the Slip cursor starts moving (you can see it in the top horizontal waveform view) even though the deck is not playing. This causes the track position to jump to the position of the Slip cursor as soon as the AUTO LOOP button is clicked again. IMO, if the deck is stopped no slip should happen.

Are you sure that you don't have messed something ?
Steps:
1) Load deck A
2) Enable a 4 beat loop
At this stage the track is paused/stopped
3) Enable Slip Mode
The track still stays in paused state

Here are the steps I followed:
1) Load deck A
2) Ensure deck A is stopped
3) Enable Slip Mode
4) Enable a 4 beat loop
The track still stays in paused state, but the slip cursor advances.
Your steps don't cause the slip cursor to advance.
