Just tried to buy a licence for my controller. The price online is $149 which equates to £106. When I type in my serial number in the discount part the price is discounted to $139 which equates to £99. When I go to purchase the licence the price at the checkout jumps to $183.99 which equates to £132. I will not be buying a licence at that price.

That’ll be good old UK VAT, nothing Virtual DJ can do about that.
And it does say “+taxes” on the purchase page.

UK VAT is 20%. £99 to £132 I work out at 33%. Something not right.

If I set the currency to USD for a $149 controller license I get $178.80 including 20% tax for united kingdom.
What does it say about VAT on the checkout page you see?
It seems the discount is not taken into account in that case for some reason.

At the checkout it says 20% VAT will be included. GB VAT is 20%. At checkout the GB VAT added is 33%.
I don't work as a professional DJ. I just do the odd mix in my spare room.

So all the work on The Bridge and Black Country Radio (inc. interviewing various singers) is amateur and unpaid?
Posted Sat 17 Mar 18 @ 8:34 am
The Bridge was a Community Radio Station ran by volunteers. All the staff on The Bridge were volunteers. We never received any payment. I worked on The Bridge unpaid for 7 years. The Bridge no longer broadcasts. It was taken over by Black Country Radio following my departure.
I have never worked for Black Country Radio. As far as I am aware Black Country Radio is also ran by volunteers.

If your bank or credit card offers you a better conversion rate than our payment provider you can simply place your order in USD then.
In that case you will get your bank's conversion rate to British pounds.
