Having just downloaded the new Serato Pro (I was a long time user until I converted last year to VDJ, thanks Keith).
I thought I'd do a comparison of them just playing a music video.
No other features were tested. It's quite surprising (maybe not to the users here lol)

Yeah, the difference on Mac is quite noticeable .... VDJ is much smoother. Serato also takes ages to start and quit too.
Serato is supposed to be better on the Mac platform but not according to your video.

Maybe it's even worse on windows :p
