ive blown both a bass driver and a compression driver since owning them. i would spend a bit more on something better

mine now sit above 4 15" scoops and 2 15" reflex kicks so now not being driven as hard they sound pretty

as ive got one blown driver im going to be upgrading both to eminence kappa 15 c

What did you do when you blow a bass speaker ?You can't say they are bad speakers just because you blow them, your issues are not with the speakers, your issues are with the input signal you have been sent to the amp!
If you send to much signal from your mixer to the amp you can blow many speakers don't matter the brand ! the kappa 15c will be blown as well! if you do the same..
monitor your output signal! Keep it down.
You should be careful when replacing the speakers with different spec.. inside of an active box!

it wasnt actually me i lent my young 16 year old brother inlaw one with a cheap mixer to plug his iphone in for a house party.

so yeah a combination of the mixer being redlined and youtube rips being used in this case probably blew the bass driver

but the compression driver i blew quite easily and i believe theve actually upgraded that themselves

for around the same money youd be better off with jbl eons if i could spend the money again thats is where id spend it

for me they just didnt have enough spl or bass hence why they now sit on scoops run with external crossovers

It could blow but only if you go pass the 11 o'clock position https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9g6x0By9_BY

Here's how you replace the driver if the problem ever occur.

Honestly I would get the Mackie Thump 15a they are 1300 watts and they are lighter (same price as the alto ts215) but they are solid like the alto speakers ts215

The mackies hit harder but the alto ts215 are great when you watch your levels and can be fixed easily according to the video above. I got a pair of ts215s and they are still sounding great but I'm not going pass the the 11 oclock position. Oh yeah, turn your master volume to 75% or adjust to your liking to give to more depth. Just dont go full master volume or the limiter will kick in.
