Hello,

Downloaded for my xdj-rx2 pioneer controller the install_pioneerxdjrx2 file.
When double click, it asked me for the programm to open. Choosed virtual dj but I can't see the mapper afterwards.

Ii used to be xml files, but what kind of file is this and how does it work?

Normally the file ends with .xml

But this file has no extension

It should probably be. exe since it gets installed in the correct place.

Perhaps the installer creates a .dat file in /Devices folder (encrypted Definition file).
But you see the mapping inside VirtualDJ->Controllers tab and you can edit and create Custom mapping files, right ?

try using chrome to download.

This. If using latest IE for downloading .exe files will no longer run

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the help !

It was an exe file, after renaming the file it worked.

IF WE COULD SEE THE WAVE FORM AT THE CONTROLLER, THAT WOULD BE GREAT !!!

It's not fully supported yet. That's why features are missing.

Thanks for the mapper.

Please let me know when there is a solution for the grid !

Then it will be officially and natively supported in VDJ - so you wont need a mapping anymore

But with the first XDJ-RX it took about a year to reverse engineer it and breake Pioneers locks on the product

The best thing you can currently do is write/call/post on anything owned by Pioneer and tell them, that as a paying customer you are very unhappy with their choice to lock their product so that you can't get full value out of it. If enough people do that - or if someone takes them to court over it - it may help...
