Topic: Hercules Dj Console RMX sound driver problem

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello people!

Would be great if someone could give me a hand.

I am running Hercules dj console rmx on a Macbook Pro, with MacOS High Sierra, IOS 10.13.3 (17D47).
With latest Virtual Dj 8 upgrade, and the latest Hercules drivers in place.
I have been checking the forum and going over some of the posted solutions.
None of them work so far.

I have 2 issues with Virtual dj 8:

1. NO SOUND CARD
When I start Virtual dj 8 it says that "there is no sound card" and that "Hercules Dj Console RMX no inputs or outputs co..."
I guess the "co..." part goes for connected.

2. LICENSE FOR ANALOG MIXER
It also requires me a license for an analog mixer. This is something that I already paid for last year.
Over 100€.

Any help would be great.

Many thanks!

To use a Hercules DJ Console RMX, you need a license for a Hercules DJ Console RMX - not an analogue mixer license.

Also when you plug in the RMX, VDJ should detect it and ask if you want to use its soundcard. You need to click 'yes'.

If you're trying to set the audio config to anything other than the correct one for the RMX then that is why you're being asked for another type of license.
