That was the original state, and did not work.
I first thought the Hercules could be considered to be input...

I guess that this is indeed what I want.
I assume I need to take some action somewhere to have the Hercules Control Steel added to the "card" section...

I will try to keep on looking for a solution, but thanks for any tips and suggestions.
 
 
The Steel has no audio interface, inputs or outputs, so will not appear in the 'card' section of VDJ.

I noticed that for some reason my drivers were not properly installed.
Because I got no notification during/after install yesterday, I did not pay attention (tunnel vision, as you assume that step is correct)

So just uninstalled it, and installed it again, and it is working now.
