Topic: Using a specific controller license on 2 computers

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi all,
I purchased a license for my Gemini G4V a while back and have recently bought a back up computer (just in case my laptop craps out for some reason). When i open VDJ on my new laptop and log in, it does not show any of my licensing. It also states that i need to purchase a license. I have not tried to plug my board into the new compter yet (2017 macbook pro). Is my license limited? If not, why can i not view my license and why does it not show up on my new laptop? Im hoping someone can shed some light on this for me. I would not be running them simultaneously and one conputer would strictly be a back up. Do i need to purchase the pro? Or should my g4v license work on my second laptop?

Thanks,

Vince

You should see your Controller license in VirtualDJ Settings-->LICENSES tab

Can you post a screenshot of the window/message that you get for purchase ?
Also check your Audio setup. It should be Master & Headphones. If a different one is used (e.g. Deck 1, Deck 2) that is not allowed with a Controller license triangle warning icons would be there and would time out after 10mins asking you to purchase analog mixer or Pro Infinity license.
