Topic: Free New Years Eve Countdown - Page: 1

Hi Guys, just trying to find out if anyone needs or are wanting a free NYE countdown, there will be two textured finishes, one with stars and stripes texture to the faces the other will be probably just a chromed texture finish, other than that they will both look the same running wise. what I need to know is do you want the screen to look as it is in the sample video or do you want it to look a little bit more busy with effects going on for the countdown up to midnight, After midnight there is lots of fireworks and other effects going on around the the clock.

Total run time will be from exactly five minutes to twelve until approx four minutes after midnight. I need comments to either complete this free project for you or if there's none, obviously I won't bother putting up a download link. Any questions please ask,.... Cheers.

Would like a countdown (black background with maybe little bit snow?) without the year numbers so I can use this every year :) and no stars and stripes for me...

PS: Why the 00: for the hours when it's only five minutes countdown? I rather have 00:00 instead
 
Haha, the stars and stripes are only specific to the American guys.

The first four minutes start at 23:55:00 the last 60 seconds instead of continuing in the original format I changed it to a count down to give the audience a more focused look at shouting out seconds remaining.

I've already got what your asking for so that's not a problem, I have a gold texture and other colours that I have done.

The year will remain I'm afraid, this is a one off only for this year.

I'll just add a couple of effects for you.
 
is this just video or is there audio too?
 
will be video only, I usually use a track that hits midnight spot on with Big Ben chiming, can't think of the name of it just now but don't want to add the track because of any possible copyright issues.
 
This is the track I use, it's taken from a vid I made nearly ten years ago, God, how times have moved on, lol!

Ok cool. I have downloaded a few countdown vids from vjhive, just need some audio to go with them really. thank you though. Good work. Do you make these videos yourself? in after effects?

The track or the vid, lol, just use the youtube link, down load and you can do what you want with the file, what you do with it is totally up to you.

Ron, I'll put up last years Big Ben animation if you like... looks better for the British guys, but that's just my opinion, lol.

Yes, I know, that's why I prefer to stay with my family during new years eve , instead of chasing away requesters balancing their beer over my mixer! LOL
 
Here's the completed New Years Eve visual... hope it is what you need, all the best Ron and the rest of you guys.

it has a total length of just over eight minutes so should give you enough time to mingle at midnight, lol.

You need to start playing it at exactly five minutes to midnight, I usually run Scott's countdown plugin throughout the night on screen and then run this at the required time.
