are there any HID controllers(not players) out there currently supported(natively or otherwise) with vdj 8???

Those are just a few that come up my mind.
However you should go the other way around: Find the HID controller you want and then check if it's supported. Most likely it is! :)

so i take it that vdj 8 will take advantage of the faster HID protocol instead or the normal midi on these controllers?
