Not familiar with the MKx versions of the RMP3
http://www.reloop.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=rmp-3

There is a strong possibility the "MK2" to be a unit not supported natively, and the detection could be faulty based on a similar sysex ID (instead of the safer VID/PID)
Out of curiosity and just to see how it's detected, please try the following.

- Open VDJ 8, goto Settings->OPTIONS
- Search for the setting CreateMidiLog and set it to Yes.
- Close VDJ.
- Make sure the RMP3 MKII is connected
- Open VDJ.
- Close again.
- Post here the content of the Log Report.txt file you will find in Documents/VirtualDJ folder

MIDI Device Identified by PID/VID: \\?\usb#vid_200c&pid_0016&mi_00#6&189b7406&0&0000#{6994ad04-93ef-11d0-a3cc-00a0c9223196}\global : Reloop RMP-2.5a

VID/PID 0x200/0x0016 are indeed the Hardware identifiers of the RMP2.5a, so VDJ correctly detects the unit as such. Ideally, if the unit you have is a different model (with different MIDI messages or/and layout), it should have it's own unique identifiers so that we could add support for that unit as well.

Will contact Reloop and find out more.

It's very strange, this RMP3 MK2 work fine in other softwares.

Is it possible fix the problem with a midi custom configuration?

I also exposed the problem to the Reloop support, I'm waiting for an answer

Thanks in advance
Stefano
