Is anyone using the Behringer DDM4000 with VDJ 8? If so...do i need to use an audio interface with it? or did I make to far a jump moving from the DJX700 to the DDM4000? I am aware that the 700 is an analog mixer whilst the DDM4000 is a digital mixer. A picture diagram on how to hook it up would be excellent! Any help..PLEASE?!?!?!?!

the hookup will be the same as for the DJX700

digital mixer in this case means it has spdif output

and yes it also has DIN style midi in and out pretty sure this doesn't work with vdj to control the software.

you will also need a sound interface.

if you want to do time code this should work fine but if you are after a controller its best to check the list here before purchasing http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/VirtualDJ8%20Controllers.html

Thanks wickedmix! When I made this post earlier I was just hooking up the DDM 4000 for the first time and I had no sound. I now have sound and I am able to use the cross fader. but I have absolutely no channel fade or eq. I have yet to add an interface. My next question is since my V7's control a good percentage of the software.....is the interface necessary between the mixer and the computer?
