What are your impressions of this controller, especially the 16-bit soundcard? I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a small controller in the next 4 hours (Black Friday Deal). Also looking at the Pioneer SR and the Denon MC4000. The NVll is high on my list, but I would like to know how it sounds, since I've heard that some do not like the way it sounds.

I guess all the Numark NVll users were too busy to get back to me. I went with the Pioneer SR instead, for a couple of reasons. I hate the mirrored set up, but could have dealt with it. I hate ac power adapters, but also could have dealt with that. Since I did not here back about the sound from the 16-bit sound card, I thought it would be better to go with the higher quality. The price was good at $499.00 shipped. This unit will replace the Hercules RMX2 in the club, so the RMX2 can stay at the health club I do every Thursday. I'm picking up another Denon MC6000 with full customized case, for my mobile gigs. However, I am still looking at the Denon MCX 8000, and the new Pioneer DDJ RZX if Virtual plans to map it.

The SR is supposed to be delivered by 8pm tonight but I will be spinning by then, so will have to wait until tomorrow to play with it.

Curious as to why you choose the SR over the 4000?

I to have a 4000 for smaller parties and it's been pretty good and sounds great.

I just opened the box, and may return it. Why, because the muth@#$(*^%$ does not have pitch bend buttons. I knew I was giving up a few things, but I may have overlooked some others. The reasons I went with this over the MC4000 was;

1. I hate the mirrored configuration. 2. I hate power adapters. 3. I like the layout of the pads. 4. A full Serato DJ, (I wouldn't buy a Ferrari, but would drive it once). 5. It only cost me $499.00 delivered.

Things I knew I was giving up;

1. XLR out. 2. Two mics with eq and talkover. 3. The master, booth, and aux knob layout.

What I overlooked;

1. This bi%^& does not have pitch bend. Even if I didn't use them, they could have been mapped to something else. 2. I don't use the mic out of the controller in my club, but what if I get fired? I don't get along with any of the managers, and don't have a problem telling them where they could go. (It's a thing with me, "I was not calling you at home, asking what song I should play next, before you were working here"). So maybe I could use the MC4000 as a backup to my main system.

I am still looking at the SR on the counter, and have not even put a fingerprint on it yet. I don't know, maybe I'll buy the MC4000 anyway. Can you ever have too many controllers? It is still an upgrade to my Hercules RMX2, which I won in Vegas. Actually, I didn't pay for the first RMX or the first MC6000 either. I bought my second MC6000 used, and will pick up my next used MC6000 w/ customized case tonight.

Probably a bit late with this feedback bit the nvii sounds fine - i have minerunning through a ld systems dave 12 pa - sounds great. I previously had a gemini g2v.

The native support from virtualdj for it is pretty good too - the twin screens are really handy and very addictive.

Yeah a little late, but thanks for taking the time. I am playing with the SR now, but have to be in bed by 4am. I'm at the club at 12 noon, and know I should not bring this controller. However, if I bring it and something goes wrong, I will only blame myself, and not crying about the software or the controller. This is my only day shift, but it can be busy early, or a dude until 1. I think I will bring it, and if I'm not comfortable, I can switch it out when it gets busy, since it's only the controller that I'm switching.
