Topic: VDJ with Denon MCX8000

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi,

I have a question regarding VDJ with Denon MCX8000.

At the screens on my MCX8000 I have 3 rows of information:
1. Tracktitle
2. Genre
3. BPM

My friend who also uses VDJ with his MCX8000, has:
1. Tracktitle
2. Artist
3. BPM

I would much rather have it like him (switch no. 2: Genre with Artist), but can´t seem to figure out where to do this.
Do you have a solution for this?

Best regards Martin.

Fantastic. Thx :)

Do you also have the solution for why it switches the Time Played/ Time Remaining on both screens, when I press the button?

Not a clue, it might be the only way it can work or it could be an over sight.

Even though there are 2 x TIME buttons on the MCX8000, both send exactly the same MIDI message, so the change will affect both screens.

But I´ve seen other setups where it only switches the time on the chosen deck. That´s why I don´t get it :(

You can change the Times on the screens individually, just not by using the TIME buttons.
E.g. you can click on the Times texts on the default skins of VirtualDJ or use custom buttons or other controller buttons mapped as .. display_time +1 or display_time 'remain, elapsed' +1 etc.

So I noticed that the blue leds around the jog wheel no longer blink when the track is almost over. Is their a setting to turn this back on?
