I know a lot rely on you more experienced dj's helping choose a controller. Now it's my turn. I'm in need of a budget controller. I'm tying to decide between the Behringer CMD 2A or the Numark mixtrack .... Which do you think I should get?

There are a few different Mixtrack models that are available, so you'd have to be more specific as to which one you're referring to. However I would recommend the Mixtrack over the Behringer as they have proven to be very popular. The latest model, (Mixtrack Platinum) has a LCD display in the jog wheels and looks like a very good 'entry level' controller. Obviously your budget will determine which model you will choose.
