Why is the bpm editor does not let you adjust the beat grid. When you're in the beat grid editor window, you cannot play song to adjust the beat grid, even the metronome is not working. How do you fix this issue, it use to work fine until the new update to 8.2.

I think you are using a wrong Soundconfig.
Please make a screenshot of your current soundconfig.
