I'm not sure what you mean, but Velocity Sampler is possible since day one of VirtualDj 8 for any controller that reports the velocity of the pads.

Pitch in Time, I think is just keylock...VDJ has that.

That's not velocity, that's pitch.
Velocity is the volume at which the sample plays back, based on how hard the pad is hit.
What you're referring to is called Pitch Play by Serato. The guy in the video calls it tone play. See here https://serato.com/latest/blog/18468/learn-pitch-play
As far as I know, the VDJ sampler can't do this (although it's pretty normal for "proper" production samplers).

This isn't actually on the sampler in Serato either - it uses the track on the deck (hence it using cue points).
Exactly the same is already possible in VDJ and was mapped out by users in a thread before the MCX8000 was even released :)

It may well be possible (I think I know the thread you mean - I commented in it) but it's not exactly something that can be done with one button push in VDJ.
Well OK, the MCX8000 needs two button pushes [shift+sampler] but having auto chromatic assignment in a production sampler is standard stuff.

Its 2 buttons at once, my shift and my cue point button which turns my cue points into what's in the video.
Its mapped this way on my DDJ SP1.

Thanks groovin! I didn't get a chance to try it yet, but didn't want to delay any longer in thanking you!
I love how Serato posts this video for this new feature that you only have to pay $20 more to install, and VDJ is flexible and open enough to let users create the same functionality and make it available for free :)
