Hello all !
I got a quick question: I'm exporting wav files from FL studio with markers/cue points. Other programs (like Wavelab, Wavosaur, Gold Studio etc.) are reading these markers perfectly (both names and position/time). When i load them in VDJ it reads them but it puts them in wrong position (all at the first minute of the track).
Is there a way to correct this without manual editing the cue points?

Wow! That was quick! It's set to: for new files

edit: I tested it with "always" and "no" but nothing changes :(
 
I would think that would be the correct option. Maybe someone smarter will be able to help you out.
 
If you saved the file earlier with the same name, you can try right-click and select reload tags to load the cue points from the file again.
 
So he would highlight all the tracks, right click, batch, and reload?
 
No luck either. I think it has something to do with the way VDJ reads the position. In database.xml it stores (and maybe tries to read) the position in seconds:miliseconds, but other programs read minutes:seconds:miliseconds
I'm no expert, i'm just saying maybe.
 
What you have to bear in mind is that FL Studio is a DAW, and those other progs you mentioned are audio editors.

None of them are DJ software.

If you'd found that Serato DJ, Traktor, Rekordbox DJ, DEX 3, MIXXX and Cross DJ all read them correctly, then that would have been a valid comparison.

What are the files anyway? Are they samples/loops, full tracks you've downloaded, or your own productions? I'm just wondering why you're using FL Studio.
 
Wav cue points were indeed read incorrectly. They will be read correctly (including name) in the next update.
(You will need to set getCuesFromTags to always, and batch->reload tags your existing files to update the cue points in virtualdj)

I know. I'm not comparing with any other dj software. I already chose to work with VDJ, because it's fully customizable and it reads/edits the cue points! I'm using FLS to produce my tracks and i want to perform live with a couple of singers, using VDJ. It would save me time and effort if i didn't have to edit cues for 30+ songs...
