Topic: New SSD Drive

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi,

I'm just about to replace my main HDD with a new SSD. I plan to do a clean install rather than clone the old drive due to errors on it.

VDJ is installed on my main drive (c) but I only use an external drive to play music from and the external drive has got a VDJ database so I know that's safe. (well assume it is anyway ??)

My question is do I need to copy anything from the main VDJ folder in 'My Documents' on the old C drive or is it a simple case of just downloading VDJ again and doing a 'fresh' install onto the new SSD.

Many thanks for any advice offered.

database on the external drive is itact.

you do need to copy the VDJ files under My Documetns. This has all your settings, skins you use, plugins, history, playlist etc.... Better just copy the entire folder into a Thumb drive.

When finish installing a fresh VDJ, copy all from the thumb drive.

Ok I will do that - thanks for the reply Magic
