Hey.

What i would like to know is what is the longest virtual dj 8 record's for?

until you run out of disk space.
 
I've recorded 7 8hr sets and 3 11hr sets in WAV, they vary in size from 4GB - 9GB. So yes as long as you've got enough space it'll keep recording
 
True. Mind you though that some file formats (like WAV) have their own limitations.
A WAV file cannot be bigger than 4GB (and for a lot applications bigger than 2GB) which is approx 6.8 hours @ 44.1 kHz, 16-bit stereo
Also some file systems may also limit the size of the file. On disks formatted with FAT32 for instance the maximum size of a file can be 4GB which means that if your recording file gets bigger than this it will be truncated.
