What do others use? I have totally changed all my sound system now gone from passive to active, i just want a light change now, ideally not too much, good center piece and a few either side (less is more) as they say. Most venues i do don't allow smoke or haze so need to keep that in mind. Fed up with moving heads need a change but can't think what. I was thinking a martin rush wizard centre?

For something easy to set up and tear down, and has multiple effects...you cant go wrong with the Chauvet Gig Bar. I know 2 people who have it and they love it. It does everything they need and it'll set you back around $400

I already have an overhead truss so ideally something to add to that i see the MARTIN RUSH WIZARD on offer in uk for an amazing £499 each, i think i may have to get a couple of them although one as a centerpiece would look nice, just stuck on what to add with it, maybe a scanner either side? I just think fewer good effects look better than too many lights trying to do everything
So i think i,m sold on the martin light just need something to compliment that
I have plenty of other tripod led wash lights that can be used if needed.
I have 4 of these http://www.thomann.de/gb/stairville_clb4_compact_led_bar_4_tripar.htm
just wondering if one of those centre and two Martin Rush either side would look nice. would work with no smoke/haze and not too busy
I definitely prefer barrel effects to scanners/moving heads, much more room coverage
Looking at this https://youtu.be/S_0zsD5he_M 2 look pretty awesome on their own
i hate lights, can never get it right, if my venues allowed smoke or haze any light would look good .

Right now I'm using two LED bars, two moving heads, and a derby style light as a centerpiece. The derby gives great room coverage, the moving heads add the focused excitement, and then the wash from the LED's. I like having the moving heads to provide spot lighting.

When you can't use smoke/haze then you need to be able to provide higher light output to get the lights work right.
I use 2 moving heads (ADJ Inno Color Beam Z7) and I love them. They are powered by 7x 10W RGBW Quad Color (4-IN-1) Osram LEDs and if you narrow down the beam they can be visible anywhere even without the slightest smoke.
Of course you need to be a little careful so that the beam does not annoy your audience, but unfortunately it's the only solution for proper lighting effects when no smoke/haze is allowed.

These light up a room pretty well maybe hang 2 of these with a couple of scanners and the martin rush, should look good with or without smoke/haze then
as these are possibly a bit to light filling and over power anything with it

This was an outside event using just 2 of them, super bright

Bought the Martin RUSH Wizard, wow what a fixture as a centerpiece, not sure you need anything else with it , maybe a few washes or two scanners but this is a large room filler. Will give it a blast tomorrow night in a large venue see how it looks then. Looks impressive without smoke. Well happy with it
