I recorded the playlist I made in virtual DJ through using automix and now I am attempting to put it into Itunes, so I can then put the playlist on my iPhone. How can I transfer the playlist into Itunes? Or is there another way to get the playlist onto my phone? Would downloading the app solve this problem?

There isn't an app for this.
The recording of the audio mix will be one long audio file. It will not be broken up into songs.
You only need to copy the recoded file into the Automatically Add to iTunes folder located where your iTunes library is.

I tried to add it to Itunes through the way you suggested and just nothing happens. The app I am talking about is the Virtual DJ app. If I download the app, can I play the playlist through the app on my phone even though I made the playlist on my computer.

There are two VDJ apps.
One is for Virtual DJ Radio, the other is for Remote Controlling VDJ.
Neither will play music you have recorded directly on your phone nor will they add them to iTunes.
I forgot that if you do not have iTunes managing your library it will not add to your library. You should be able to drag the audio file from it's folder and onto iTunes to add it.

I tried to drag the file but that did not work either. Any other possible solutions?

What format did you record it in?
Can you play it outside of iTunes?

It only plays in Virtual DJ. The weird thing about it is it says it was saved as an mp3 file, but on my computer it does not show up with the same icon as a mp3 file would. Is there any other ways other than Itunes to get the playlist onto my phone and play it?

First, let me make sure you understand, the Playlist can not be played in iTunes as a mix. You can save the playlist, then import it into iTunes, but it will not be a mix. It will play one song after the other.
Now, if you record the mix in Virtual DJ, then it will be one complete audio file.
As far as the recording not being correct, can you post a screen shot of your recording settings please?
EDIT: Also a screen shot of the recording area in the options tab.

I'm having trouble posting the screenshots in this message board. Can I get your email and I send you to them that way?

Try just typing the field entries into the forum.
Go into settings, and select options. Make sure Show Advanced Options is checked.
Expand the record area, you should see entries like recordFile, recordFormat, etc. Post all of the record entries.
EDIT: Here are mine.
