DJ'ing a wedding tonight, and I have no idea what caused this...
I've checked all the "auto" and "smart" options in the settings, and they are all off.
When I hit play on a track on Deck 1, the tempo jumps (sometimes drastically), I presume in an effort to match deck 2. I can't do anything about it. And, I can't fix the tempo (it's stuck) until I stop Deck 2.
I've checked everything I can think of. The reception just ended, with a couple of embarrassingly unexpected tempo changes while prepping for the next track. I'm about to restart VDJ to see if that fixes it. I'm using a Denon MC6000 controller, and don't see any buttons on there that would effect it.

You've turned on beatlock perhaps? (On the scratch tab in the default skin)
