back in the day when i djayed with vinyls with a basic mixer i could pre-listen to the deck not heard through the speakers when the crossfader was on the same side as hearing the other track play...to clarify i like to press the small CUE button (on top of the volume slider to hear that deck without hearing it out loud amongst the speakers. How can i set this up with the VMS4? i've played around with the VMS4 buttons on the front & cueing buttons on each deck BUT no luck. instead I hear both decks if both decks played and one deck if one deck played as i hear it out loud with the speakers......can anyone help me... i just want to pre-listen to the deck I cue when i press the cue button without hearing that cue out loud?
all assistance appreciated.

Headphones to me is to prepare for the mix of cueing the next song and beat matching etc.....right now the way my headphones are set up just hearing what I hear in the speakers sort of defeats the purpose of why I use headphones other than "not waking up the neighbours in my apartment building" so i can hear what I play in the headphones while turning down the volume slider...works there but i need both cueing only in headphones and hearing it through the headphones while turning the channel volume slider down to not wake up the neighbours at late and early hours.

Please make sure you have setup your midilogs correctly ( according to your decknumber like 3-1-2-4 ), that the frontswitches as set to USB and your soundcard of the VMS is set to 8out. also please check if the headphone knob is set to cue, audio config is external mixer and the selected card is the VMS. Assure that the unit is in (default) Pre-EQ Mode. Also check the Asio Panel in Windows if the assingment of your midilogs are not reversed by mistake.
