Topic: Pfl and deck select

Has something changed in settings recently?

Previously I could use "deck 1 (and 2) select" on my controller, this would select the deck and pfl the channel too, now only operating the deck select only.

Did you do anything differently, update VDJ, controller firmware? What controller?
 
First, make sure that the setting pflOnSelect is set to Yes
Also keep in mind that the Auto Pfl selection, depending on the selected deck, will not work if you manually change the PFL. E.g. when deck 1 is selected and PFL1 is On, if you manually set PFL2 to On, then the auto -selection will not work after that, unless you manually bring back the PFL of the selected deck.
Further on that, some controllers offer a "hardware" pfl selection (such as the Numark NS7II), so depending on the controller you are using , the auto pfl selection may not work.
 
Thanks for the replys. The only update I've done is the most recent beta build, the controller is a Xone K2.

I've tried playing about with the manual pfl with no joy and pfl select option is set to yes.

I'll try regressing the builds just in case but can't think this would be the cause.
 
How exactly do you select the deck ? Using the skin or some action assigned to the controller (and which one is that) ?
If the controller is not connected, do you get the expected functionality when only using the skin ?
