Topic: Replacing American Audio DP2 controller

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi guys

I've been using American Audio DP2 controller for a few years now - never had any issues. It's time to replace it, but I gather there are no Windows 8 (or 10) drivers for it. Bearing in mind I'll have to update my laptop soon, I need to make sure the new controller is a future proof (!) as I can make it.

2 questions:

1 - Has anyone actually managed to get a DP2 to work on Windows 8?
2 - A recommendation for a similar sized replacement would be really useful. (Denon HC500?)

I'd love to have a full sized all signing all dancing mixer controller, but there's simply nowhere to put it at 2 of the venues I work. I have to replace the CD head unit in the built in rack. The DP2 fits perfectly. And into my carry bags too lol.

Thanks all.

Win7 drivers (ASIO) works fine in Win8 & WIn10

2 questions:

1 - Has anyone actually managed to get a DP2 to work on Windows 8? Yes Win10 and it works just fine on a netbook !!
2 - A recommendation for a similar sized replacement would be really useful. No idea
