Looking for reviews on this controller being used with Virtual DJ Will Version 8 natively support it also is there a mapper for it to use with Version 7

I've used it with both versions. You have to update the firmware on the unit before you use it. If you don't, all kinds of strange stuff happens
After that I found it to be great with V8
With v7 you have to put the unit into "other software" mode (it's in the manual).
After that the only issue I found was that you can't really trust the leds showing vinyl and slip - it may be the opposite of what the lights are showing
Regarding effects there are a few things that you can get when using the pads in v8 compared to v7
But I wouldn't have any problems using the DDJ-SR for a gig with either version
My main hassle is with the feel of the controller itself.
I really don't like the feel of Pioneer transport (play/cue) buttons, so my DDJ-SR mostly sits on a shelf
But of course this is a personal preference, and would probably be the same with the DDJ-SX or a CDJ unit

Would you like to sell the SR. I think my motherboard took a crap and fixing it might not be worth the price and time without it. I'm hitting up my busy season and need a new one.
